Since then, her path of learning has taken her through weight training, Pilates, nutrition, and yoga, but it all began with dance.
Josette has been training in dance for 18 years in a wide variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. When she was in middle school, she joined a competition team and proceeded to achieve many awards including three national titles. While pursing her dance degree Josette held many leadership and community service roles, including Vice President and President of different organizations on campus. Through these roles, she was invited to attend both dance and leadership conferences such as American College Dance Association’s annual conference.
Currently you can find Josette taking various dance classes and performing around the Seattle area including The Bellevue Collection’s holiday parade Snowflake Lane. She teaches at four dance studios with a variety of age ranges and styles. Josette’s goal is to teach movement patterns that work for all ages, experiences, and bodies to avoid injuries, have fun, and inspire long-term journeys with fitness.
